What’s the difference between Gold and Gems?
Gold is earned by playing and completing in-game quests, winning matches, and participating in special events. Gold can be used to purchase packs, enter certain events, and access some cosmetics. Gems can be purchased in the store and can also be used to purchase packs, event events, and purchase most cosmetics. Gems can also be unlocked in limited amounts as rewards from certain in-game free-to-play events.
I received a code for Arena in a physical pack of Magic: The Gathering cards. How do I redeem it?
If you receive an Arena code in a physical Magic: The Gathering product, you can redeem it in the in-game store by selecting the "Redeem a Code" option. Terms and Conditions apply. Registration is required.
YOU CAN NOT REDEEM CODES ON THE MOBILE VERSION OF THE APP AT THIS TIME.
Will any gameplay content only be accessible by paying real-world money?
You will be able to play games of Magic and grow your collection without having to purchase and spend gems. Gems will be available to purchase for players who want to accelerate their collection. Gems can also be unlocked in limited amounts as rewards from certain in-game events. We do host some events that can only be entered with gems, but these gems can be earned from other events.
