Manual updates on mobile

The apps that you download from your default app store usually automatically update by default. But if there's an issue, you can update an app manually.

Manually updating on iOS

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.
  3. Scroll to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app, or tap Update All.

Manually updating on Android

  1. Open the Google Play Store app google_play_store.png.
  2. Tap Menu menu.png and then select My apps & games.
  3. Apps with an update available are labeled Update. You can also search for a specific app. 
  4. Tap Update.

Note: Some apps require new permissions when they are updated. You may see a notification asking if you accept the new permissions.

Tip: In some cases, you may need to restart your device to update an app.
