Reprint Improvements
- Reprint and Card Style Improvements are now available on MTG Arena. The highlights of the feature are below, but for a more in-depth rundown of the changes, review the article here.
- Adjusted Calculation for Playset Collection: The number of copies a player can use in their deck equals the number of copies of that card collected across all printings.
- Reprint Collection Improvements: Once a player has collected four copies of a card across all printings, they will only need to collect a single copy of any new printing to use four copies of that printing in their decks.
- Any Card, Any Style: You can now apply any card style to any base printing.
- Craft using lowest MTG Arena Rarity: All cards with the same name will now require the same wildcard to craft: the wildcard of the lowest rarity the card has ever been printed on MTG Arena.
- Better Preconstructed Deck Discounts: The discounts for preconstructed decks in the store will now be based on the cards in your collection with the same name as the cards in the deck.
- Visual Card Collection Improvements: To accommodate the Reprint and Card Style Improvements, we’ve adjusted the deck builder and associated crafting screens to reflect the new functionality better. This comes with some general visibility improvements that consider our ever-changing backdrop art.
Game Updates
- The “Veteran Explorer” Title has been replaced with the “Prominent Pioneer” Title.
- Players that complete the Pioneering Mage III Achievement by Monday May, 12 at 9AM PT (16:00 UTC) will still be granted the “Veteran Explorer” Title.
- Players can now use a “Apply Style” button on an collected Card Style to apply it to all copies of that card in the deck they’re actively editing.
- Appropriate currencies are now visible on the Card Style purchase screen.
Bug Fixes
General
- Improved text legibility in the Emporium to accommodate different backdrop art.
- Fixed an issue where Inbox Titles were able to have overlapping text across our supported languages.
- Improved our Queue Tip Text formatting so it no longer would overlap with the MTG Arena logo.
- Fixed an issue where players were prompted to purchase a drafted Card Styles in certain Draft Events.
- Pip ownership on the Card Style purchase screen no longer overlaps with the “View Simplified” button.
Gameplay
- Several prompts had “[ARG 1 OUT OF RANGE 0 TO 0]” as the text, which is obviously not ideal. Those should be fixed.
- Bargain and Casualty cards can now be cast with Harmonize without automatically using the Bargain or Casualty casting option.
- Behold submit 0 is now warm if there’s nothing to behold, and cold if there IS something, but you haven’t selected it.
- Plaza of Harmony and Reflecting Pool now have more accurate colors based on mana they could produce.
