Game Update Highlights
- The Alchemy drop for Wilds of Eldraine has arrived - Become captivated at a new crossroads, guide three little pigs to victory, and more!
- Alchemy Rebalances: The One Ring and Orcish Bowmasters have been rebalanced for digital modes like Alchemy & Historic. See our Weekly Announcements article for details.
- New sleeves now available from Princess Bride and Evil Dead!
Notable Bug Fixes
- The following cards are now correctly illegal in Explorer:
- Lord of Extinction
- Pact of Negation
- Sculpting Steel
- Shatterstorm
- Wrath of God
- Updated the Pack Legality Warning in the store so it should now correctly indicate which formats a set is legal in.
- Fixed an issue where the Golden Packs prompt would appear outside the Store.
General
- Improved the Codex of the Multiverse responsiveness when scrolling so that it’s more in line with our other behaviors in the client.
- We've introduced a new feature for dynamically showing Quests in the New Player Experience. This way we can show you quests that are most appropriate to the way you're playing the game. If a player has multiple NPE Quests available, we'll dynamically show the one most relevant to the event or format they've most recently played.
- Across the board, we’ve updated the visuals for the Quick Draft tokens to now consistently appear as a yellow token.
- We’ve reorganized our Login and Account Creation Flow slightly to better accommodate the best way to set up an account.
- If you have the Anime style showcase art for Aggravated Assault, the emblem now correctly uses that art.
- Improved the act of collecting Gem Cards in the Booster Chamber by automatically revealing them.
Gameplay
- Boons have been updated to potentially happen more than once. As a result, the typeline for older boons is now One-Time Boon.
- Some cards that were borderless weren’t showing the “can’t be countered” border VFX, because of the whole “no border” part. Now they show it, border or not.

Bug Fixes
General
- If you’ve attempted to filter your deck in the horizontal view recently, you’ll have noticed a series of multiple second delays that have been making that process extremely difficult. Happy to say we’ve fixed this issue with this release and so now we can all go back to easily managing how many creatures are in our draft or sealed deck with “t:creature”! (I know there's not really anything in-game explaining that you can do this, but if you're not using the full-height horizontal deckbuilder with a filter like "t:creature", you should really give it a try.)
- Astrology Lands now appear in your collection after using the Basics Filter in your Collection.
- Sorted out an issue where Adventure Cards were visualized incorrectly in the store.
- Frame colors and pinlines, especially in the collection, had a lot of issues caused by a change to how data is delivered. These have been addressed!
- Fixed an issue in the NPE where Alchemy Ranked was becoming available to the player but was unable to be selected.
- Fixed a visual clarity issue within the Advanced Filter page where information was being displayed behind the Navigation Bar.
- Fixed various mobile visual bugs with the drop-down menu of the Advanced Filters tool.
- Fixed an issue where the most recent Alchemy Sets were assigned as A22 instead of A23.
- A number of Loading Screen tips have been missing on mobile and now should be appearing correctly.
- Fixed a layering issue between the Season Rankings, Banned Cards, and Rotations popups.
- Fixed an issue where the Sideboard was unable to be closed under certain conditions.
- Fixed an issue where the Quick Draft Token was either not visible or had the incorrect icon when attempting to use it.
- Fixed Depth Art on a handful of MUL cards.
Gameplay
- Fixed an issue where the Adventure part of Adventures wasn’t showing in the sideboard. This was, obviously, suboptimal.
- Paying the Bargain cost for Beseech the Mirror by sacrificing a permanent owned by an opponent (you stole it somehow, you rogue) while Rest in Peace is in play was causing a crash. This is a real thing that happened in a game of Magic, and it has been addressed.
- For spells that return a card to your hand, autotap tries to keep the mana it would need to cast that spell open, since presumably you’re putting the card in your hand to cast it (I know that’s not the only reason, but autotap does not understand your deck or gameplan). In the case of auras that return something else, like say the aura itself (Draconic Destiny) it was still trying to keep mana open to cast the target. Now it does not.
- Goblin Bird-Grabber was not gaining flying if you controlled a bird. We have improved its grip, solving the issue.
- Celestial Enforcer was tapping creatures without you having a flier. We have weakened their grip, fixing the issue.
- Abilities from lands were showing up on the stack with the wrong frame.
- RoboQA found a bug with choosing new targets for a copy of Shattering Finale. We’ve got no record of this ever happening to a human being, so I guess this patch note is just for RoboQA, which is a program and cannot read.
- Right click examining the Phyrexian full-art lands from ONE wasn’t showing the mana symbol on the typeline.
- Full art lands that were exiled face down were losing their mana symbol. Now they have it. Islands make blue mana.
- So the Sorcerer role was Hexer in German until a last minute change to Magier. As a result, the tokens that were created for digital missed the update, and still displayed Hexer. It has been fixed.
