Game Update Highlights
- Wilds of Eldraine is released! Head into the wilds to discover new packs, limited modes, Jump-In Packets, cosmetics, and more!
- We’ve updated our pack opening animation and refined our advanced filters; more info below!
Notable Bug Fixes
- So, I know we’ve said before that we fixed the bugs with Wastes and Historic Brawl, but this time we think we’ve actually fixed them in a way that will stay fixed (weird layers of bugs kept the old fixes from taking (layers of bugs are seldom good))
General
- We’ve updated our pack opening animation! Brand new custom animations were tailored for opening 1-10 packs (Golden or otherwise!). Enjoy savoring the moment by revealing each rare or get right to the action by clicking “Reveal All”!
- When opening Sealed boosters, you’ll be able to see all your opened rares in one place! No longer are the days of reviewing all your cards in the deck builder to see what additional rares snuck past the pack opening sequence.
- The Advanced Filters tool within the Deck Builder has been updated to more clearly communicate the currently selected format for the deck, as well as dynamically showing which sets are legal for that format.
- We've added an additional route to complete the NPE with Quick Draft! Player can now unlock all game modes by playing through the Jump In and Quick Draft quests.
- With more ways to play through the new player experience, we’ve made the new player quests smarter about showcasing the most relevant objectives and progress based on what modes a player is playing
- With the format duration difference between Alchemy and Standard, we’ve added new prompts when purchasing packs in the store to inform you which packs are legal in which format.
- Spark Rank Rewards now also displays your Limited Rank.
- The Codex of the Multiverse has been updated to include deck descriptions for our Starter Decks.
- Credits have been updated to reflect new employes that have joined and partners we've collaborated with.
Gameplay
- On mobile, spells and abilities on the stack now do a much better job of getting out of your way if you're trying to activate an artifact below them.
- Opponent's flashing in creatures in response to your abilities should now always give you a stop to respond.
- If a non-creature permanent would tap itself to pay the cost of animating, the autotap pay is greyed out and warns you that it will be tapped once it becomes a creature. Related, I am begging you to look at the autotap solution before you confirm. Autotap does not know your plan. It is doing its best.
- Triggered abilities that create 5 or fewer mana now use the mana wheel rather than the spinners (which gives you a better view of the battlefield while picking your mana).
- Wizard's Rockets mana values of 5 and below now use a normal mana wheel instead of the spinners.
- Did you know, despite costing a hybrid, Extort doesn't effect the color identity of a card, because that symbol is in reminder text. Wild, huh?

Bug Fixes
Gameplay
- Fixed an issue where cards like Mirkwood Bats didn’t see Investigating as creating a clue token. They now give credit where credit is due.
- Fixed an issue where the client would show the option to cast the Aftermath side of split cards with Aftermath for the cost of both sides if you had Underworld Breach out. It didn’t actually work, but it sure was weird.
